about

Al Brown was a lovely man and a great supporter of the arts. Sadly he passed away earlier this year. His family thought I should have his 1962 Martin parlor acoustic guitar. Al first obtained it in the late 60s while still a student in college. Judging by the old pages of paper with Dylan lyrics jotted down on them, this guitar has seen its share of sing alongs and campfire performances. I was honored to accept this remarkable gift and wasted no time in composing songs on it. These four songs are the first efforts that resulted from the time spent sketching out ideas on Al's guitar. I hope they bring joy and feeling to your ears and serve as a fitting tribute to Al's memory. Many thanks and much love to the Browns (Ellen, Kate and Dan), for trusting me with the beautiful instrument that inspired these recordings.
